Although there are no schools using the 11 plus within the Surrey County Council boundaries there are some schools in the neighbouring boroughs of Kingston upon Thames and Sutton that children living in Surrey may choose to apply to.

Date of Exam: Stage 1 tests - October. Stage 2 tests for those invited - November
Type of Exam: The Stage 1 English test will be a multiple-choice test. The Stage 1 maths test will be made up of different question types: some may be multiple choice, some will require your daughter to record her numerical answer. Stage 1 tests answers are recorded on an Optical Mark Reading (OMR) answer sheet. The Stage 2 tests are in English and maths. They require written answers and some questions on the English paper will require longer written answers. The papers are set and marked by the school.
Further information: For all tests, the raw scores are standardised and age-weighted. The Combined Mark will be made up of 60% English and 40% Maths. The English mark will come from the Stage 2 test, and the Maths mark will come from the Stage 2 test and the Stage 1 test in a ratio of 3:1.
